Synopsis: 
          TOKIO's Masahiro Matsuoka will star in a new NTV drama series called "Yasuko to Kenji." It is based on a comical manga by artist Aruko that was serialized in Bessatsu Margaret between April 2005 and November 2006.

The show focuses on a man named Kenji and his younger sister Yasuko, whose parents died in an accident 10 years earlier. Kenji was once the leader of a gang, but in order to support him and his sister, he began making a living as a shojo mangaka. His character normally wears glasses and appears to be a gentle guy, but he throws off his glasses and reverts to his violent side whenever he tries to protect Yasuko from danger. Part of the story follows Yasuko's romance with an intelligent and good-looking man named Jun Tsubaki. Jun's older sister Erika now runs a flower shop, but Erika was once a leader of a female gang, and she used to be in love with Kenji during those days.

          so i delayed watching this cox everyone's saying that this drama is so good and i want to save it for last. hmm, i'm not saying that it's not good though i might say that my expectations were so high, it kinda disappointed me.
          it's almost like Gokusen except that it wasn't yakuza slash highschool teacher Yankumi saving her students from trouble but ex gang leader slash currently mangaka/florist  brother/sister saving his/her younger sister/brother instead. that's the only thing i didn't like. as far as the story goes, i liked it. and i totally ship (i can't believe i'm using this word!) YasukoXJun! i love it so much i had to gif all their screen time. XD oh and nothing beats Mabo's table flipping!
          but if i were to compare this to Utahime, i'll choose Utahime.

Synopsis:
          It doesn't matter whether or not the expiration for statute of limitations has disappeared. Isaka Rei is a cabin attendant enjoying a somewhat cliched glamorous 30's life. Or more accurately, "was." One day she manages to arrest a thief at the Tokyo International Airport. To her surprise, the thief was a criminal, rewarded by a bounty of 1,000,000 yen. Indulging in her good luck last only for a moment, when the airport turns into a panic and Rei is not only scolded by her boss, but fired for good. The next misfortune hits without a pause, when she learns that her sister Akane has disappeared, leaving behind a huge debt.

As her life takes its twists and turns, Akane ends up meeting a group of people to join her in becoming a bounty hunter, each member with their own agenda. Will Akane be able to capture the wanted criminal to find her sister and win the reward? And will she find out the true reason her sister ran away?

          normal, not annoying drama. not like other renzoku format dramas that they always do something whenever they're solving a crime (i.e. having a vision or something). i thought they'll go with the "acting like a super girl" act but thankfully, they did not. the ending wasn't that exciting though. i thought one of them is the bad guy (like in other dramas that the bad guy's always friendly with the main character). expecting season 2. i want season 2!

          the synopsis didn't say much. but this is a touching drama. although it didn't make me cry (probably cox i was thinking of making good gifs while watching XD ).
          my Shibu's sooooooo awesome here. the aura he's giving off is totally different when i was watching 8UPPERS. i don't know why he doesn't have much drama offers.
          and this is where Erika and Hina met! i so wanted them back together. hearing Erika talk in Kansai-ben is new for me. XD
