P.S. read at your own risk. will contain major spoilers.
when i got the news that OHSHC will be getting a live-action drama and movie, i was ecstatic! i sooooooo love the manga and anime. and then they announced the cast, oh gawd, what did they do to my host club? ToT
i've said this before, that i don't watch drama when it's currently airing cox i don't like to the wait for the next episode. so while waiting for it to end, me is seeing screencaps and gifs from everywhere and i thought why not give it a try? i actually watched Yamamoto Yusuke dramas to get used to him as Tamaki.
and then judgement time. i started watching it last night and finished it this afternoon. mixed emotions. okay, apart from Daito Shunsuke as Kyoya (oh sheet, what did they do to my precious Kyoya? i can't ever accept him as Kyoya despite his good acting), i think everyone else was acceptable for the character. and they did pretty good, especially Yusuke.
what i didn't like was the way they included Nekozawa in every episode possible and how they altered the story. the anime/manga was not that complicated to follow, the should've sticked to the original story. they also ruined one of my fave scenes! the thunder scene with Haruhi and Hikaru! it should've been their moment, why bring Tamaki to the scene? he already got a thunder scene for gawd's sake! (>_<)
atleast they made up with the last episode and didn't follow the anime's last episode (which i think, despite the very dramatic and beautiful HaruhixTamaki scene, was bullsheet, with that French girl, deym). good thing they sticked to the manga's story, maybe because the story for the movie will be Tamaki going/imprisoned in Suou's main residence and him trying to get his grandmother's approval and ofcourse his love story with Haruhi. still, i'm looking forward to it!
My Ratings: i'll give this one 7/10 :)
