one word: disappointed. i was really looking forward to this movie, thinking that maybe they'll continue the story in the manga because so far the drama was loyal to the original story as much as they can make it. i was looking forward to the darker side of the story. Haruhi and Tamaki clueless about their feelings. Hikaru trying to make Tamaki realize his love for Haruhi despite being himself being in love with her too. Kaoru and Hikaru finally stepping out of their comfort zone, aka being together and looking the same. Mori and Honey graduating but still watching them. and Kyoya doing everything, as always. Tamaki finally accepting being the Suou heir and was imprisoned by his grandmother and was taken away from the host club. Tamaki and Haruhi's almost entangled past.
and what did this movie gave me? a made-up/filler story. the "Haruhi and Tamaki struggling with their feelings" part was there though. the funny part where Haurhi thought she was sick and Tamaki thinking his feelings was paternal love. Kaoru looking after Hikaru who was also struggling with his feelings for Haruhi. that was it. it was only a side story, not the main part. it was still funny though.

excited for this movie to come out last year and then i realized a week ago that i've yet to watch it and i admit, i forgot. so i grabbed a copy, fast and watched.
hmmm, the humor's still there but i think it lacks action. and it made me ask a LOT of questions. at the end of the movie, it only answered one, about Yin and Yang. okay, so Ninomae's a clone. who made those clones? Ninomae himself when he was still alive so he was still able to put them on capsules and stopped time until they're 17 yrs old? and the clone's agenda was to kill them all before they were killed themselves with the so called "Simple Plan". and they seemed to be the same people from Season 1, lead by Tsuda. the real Tsuda's dead now. or maybe he's not just another double? who knows. and Miyano, wasn't he the spy? and that guy in white at the end with Jun calling himself  "Sekai", wasn't that Mukai Osamu. in short, this movie was all about Toma and Sebumi's love story. and everything was just a prologue for a new movie or season. we've even yet to know what the called third prophecy of Fatima was. well, i'll be waiting for that.

i have mixed feelings with this movie. i didn't read the synopsis before watching so when Satoshi started singing (my speakers were in full blast), i was scrambling hard to lower the volume. this is supposed to be a comedy, right? because i was really laughing hard with a lot of scenes. especially the singing parts. hands up (and feet) to the cast. i've yet to see the director's other works (Audition and Ichi the Killer) but they say they're better than this one.
i just thought that Satoshi's too old for the part. i know he doesn't look 30 but he doesn't look like 16-18 too. Saito Takumi barely passed the high school character. but both's so good so let's just ignore their age. i'm just wondering, i know Makoto died in the end, but did he fell in love with Ai, because he died walking all the way to the hospital (fucking hospital, he should have at least got himself treated first!) and hugging her, or was he just grateful to her because she'll go to that extent to save him.

the most anticipated movie of 2012. i think so. XD i was so excited that when i already have it, i don't want to watch it anymore. what if my standard's too high, the movie won't reach it? i don't want to be disappointed. and i was getting sick of seeing Sato Takeru's face everywhere. gave in after almost 2 weeks.
not bad. maybe one of the best adapted manga ever. i thought the story's entirely changed, like the rebooted manga they were releasing before the release of this movie. nothing THAT major. changed how the characters met, because it'll make the movie longer, i guess. the actors didn't disappoint me. superb acting. Takei Emi lacked being tomboyish though. oh and Aoki Munetaka's really fun to watch! i think he and Eguchi Yosuke weren't tall enough for the role though. the action scenes were not that intense for me though. and perfect soundtrack. Taka's voice is just LOVE.
i think they should do the Shishio arc next. include Aoshi and Misao in the characters. and use 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou by Siam Shade for the soundtrack.... i wish. XD

this movie is too cute. too cute and realistic. Aoi and Sakai, despite the age difference has chemistry and are too cute together. there's no awkwardness. and i like it that they made it as normal as possible. i mean there's the kissing and cuddling like other couples do.
the way they tackled the issue on depression is also good. well, for me. the way Mikio's mood swings from really high to low, his loss of appetite, losing hope, feeling useless, suicidal. and how his wifey handled it. she was ashamed at first and then there were times that she loses it too. it really is about acceptance.
i like it how they did not make it too dramatic. i lost it when Haru's drawings came to life. lols.

When a pretty new coach turns up with the nutty idea of creating a top synchronized swimming team of her own, she has just a few problems to overcome. First, she's teaching at an all-boys school; second, the 5 boys who have committed to the team are all hopelessly bad swimmers; third, she suddenly discovers she's 8 months pregnant and due for maternity leave.

Inspired by their darling coach's dream, the boys bumble through the spring and summer, preparing a routine for Tadano High's festival. They face great adversity: the derision of their fellow students, a swimming pool full of dead fish, the mounting pressures of college entrance exams, and worst of all, their own dismal record of constant failure. Their only encouragement comes from a gaggle of local drag queens and the crazy owner of an aquarium, whose idea of trainin them, is making them polish fish tanks round-the-clock.

When autumn finally rolls around, the boys have not only miraculously perfected a truly unique routine, they've won the respect and participation of a whole crew of new teammates. On the eve of the festival, the performance is threatened by one last catastrophe. Will the Waterboys hard work be wasted, or can they paddle their way to the success and recognition they've worked so hard to win?

TROLL MOVIE. XD never expected this to be freaking funny. i thought this was a really serious movie, the reason why it got 3 drama seasons. XDDD i wasn't able to enjoy their bodies cox they're waaaaaaay too skinny. except for Tamaki Hiroshi. i was like "who is this guy again? he looks so familiar but i can't remember his name." and then the credits rolled in. Tamaki Hiroshi. ARE YOU SERIOUS? NO FUCKING WAY. he doesn't really look like the Tamaki today and the past 5 years. he's skinny but he's got muscles. the facial structures are different. he looks more like his brother than himself (if ever he has one). what happened to you Tamaki? bring back the old days.
and their performance in the end. secondhand embarrassment. XD look at them guys in swimming trunks swinging their hips like that. hahaha. that scene where they went up from the water and wriggled their butts in front of the girls (audience) and Satoshi went nearer his girlfriend and started shaking his skinny shoulder... i think that was sweet. lols.  but yea,  i enjoyed this movie a lot.

i don't know why i waited this long to watch this when i was anticipating it when it was released in 2010. i don't know but it think the cast were too old for the roles but damn they still nailed it. the actor who played Kyohei really looks familiar, i thought i've seen him somewhere before. and then it hit me, i don't know him but he looks like a friend of mine. XD and i think Kyohei did all the work here. i love his character, especially when he's making a fool of himself. lols.

anticipated watching this movie mainly because of (too hot) Maru and Eita as well. after the movie, i was like "this is a fucking love story." XD yea yea sorry i just only found out that time too that this was adapted from a manga. that's why.
also, maybe i expected too much Maru. their promotions were misleading. the way they used Maru, it's like his role was huge. but it turned out to be Eita and 6 other people. Sekai's role was bigger than Pyro's. and Abe Tsuyoshi! i didn't know he's part of this movie! and his hair's bleached!

a light and cute movie! made me drool over the desserts Ryo's making. i think Tomosaka Rie's a natural, she really seems like she's a single working mom. and Ryo's character, acting fierce when he's really not. my only complaint about Ryo's character is that he seemed to be too relaxed even if he knew that he's not in his own world. he wasn't surprised about the technology and everything. he's just too calm. i especially love the ending. no cliches. i was expecting that Rie's character would find Ryo's descendant who looks like Ryo too and they ended up with each other instead. ah no, but that's not what happened. they just found out that Ryo's character continued making Pudding and other sweets even when he's back in Edo Period and he became successful and the sweets shop he opened back in the past is still thriving in the future.

i enjoyed GANTZ movie one. the cast, how they portrayed their characters. the action and effects, flawless. their suits! awesome, really great! i was so moved by the awesomeness of the first movie that right after watching it, i decided that i'll read the manga (aside form the reason that people were saying that the movie is very different from the manga) while waiting for the second movie DVD to be released.
and so i read 300+ chapters of the manga, it's not finished yet but i think it'll be over soon. and yea it is waaaaaaaaay too different from the movie. the only similarity i can think of were their characters' name, the black sphere and how it revives people and use them to hunt aliens, and (some) aliens that they fought in the movie. that's it, the storyline's miles away from the original story.
and then i watched Perfect Answer earlier, i was excited cox everyone's saying it's as cool as the first movie. i almost stopped watching halfway. i don't know but i really find it boring. my mind ruined the movie. while watching, my mind kept on reminding me what should've happened according to the manga. the only scenes that i found exciting were the subway train fight and alien MatsuKen fight. even the ending was bull. anyways, if (maybe) i didn't rushed on reading the manga, i could've enjoyed it, like the first one. still giving it a high rating cox i ruined the story for myself, it isn't the movie's fault. i still think that the cast and effects and the way they altered the story and gave it a different ending were awesome.

i anticipated watching this, first because of the cast (you must be kidding right? Nino, Tacchon, Kou and Tamaki all in one movie? i must be crazy if i decided not to watch this!) and second because of the good reviews i've been reading everywhere.
as expected with the cast, they played their roles really well, oh yea i think Maki did well too. i won't rant much on how good everyone did, just Tacchon. GAWD FREAKING TACCHON! my pretty Tacchon! he's so beautiful, i'm envious of him, he's prettier than me! haha my complaint, he showed up in the movie not until after 30mins after the start and killed him off after 30mins of screen time. WTF? he did really really good, i think he was the best among all the cast. okay i'm biased hahaha. but that anger, jealousy, gracefulness and prettiness, he portrayed all those emotions in just 30mins. i love his sword fight with Nino. 2 sword fights! first with wooden swords then with real ones. and it was Nino who killed Tacchon! watching all Tacchon scenes, my heart was racing, i was so excited with every frame, with his every move, i think i love him more than Nino now haha.
the plot was pretty interesting, and i like Kou's character here. i was satisfied with the ending, except that they didn't kill Nino off in the end. they should've killed him. still bitter with Tacchon's death haha.

Sukaretto says:
P.S. read at your own risk. will contain major spoilers.

too many familiar names and faces in this movie. i haven't read the manga or watched the anime so i can't compare the story and characters.
Keiko is pretty. i like her more without make-up. but seriously, her face (as well as Mukai's) doesn't pass as a high school student, as an 18-year-old (or 17?). she matured but she's still pretty though but too skinny. well, being skinny is good i think cox she's a model here. as for Mukai, same with Keiko, he's too old for the role. i don't know much about the manga character but he looks gay in this movie. even the way he kissed Keiko, too gay! i don't know if he's just too absorbed with his character or...? and Kento! bless him. he looks good here. i didn't recognize him from the photos and gifs before i see this movie. he's too skinny now.
i like the story but the ending didn't give much of an impact. like that feeling that i will definitely watch this again in the future.

My Ratings: i'll give this one a 7/10 :)
