Synopsis:
More than half of women in their 20's to 30's admit to "currently lacking a boyfriend." Men, love, sex, work, marriage... All the issues women face today are revealed in truth through this generation, an "ice age of love."

"The reason I can't find my love" highlights the lives of three women, Fujii Emi, Ogura Saki and Hanzawa Mako. Emi works for a lighting company as a lighting technician, where she is surrounded by men due to the nature of the profession. She has a straight-forward and generous personality, but is unconcerned about general feminine interests such as fashion. She is often treated like another man by her boss and colleagues, and feels that being in love is tiresome. However, she cannot forget about her ex-boyfriend and hopes to someday fall truly in love. Saki is prideful and determined, but fails in landing a desirable job. As a result, she starts to work at a bar as a hostess, keeping the fact a secret from her parents. Mako is the youngest of all, having attended the same high school following Emi and Saki. She is earnest and responsible, but on the other hand, rather clumsy and afraid of taking chances on a romantic relationship. The three women end up living under the same roof by coincidence, and it is there that they share each other's experiences, bitter or sweet, desperately struggling with their love life. A life-sized unconventional love story ever to air on Fuji TV's prime 9 Monday drama slot!

P.S. read at your own risks. this entry is full of spoilers.
i enjoyed this drama. mainly because i can relate with the story of some of the characters. i'm giggling and cursing like a child in every scene! XD i love how Karina's indecisive, and Oshima Yuko so naive and Yuriko losing confidence about love.   i'm not going to say much about acting or anything. i recommend this to every boy in the world complaining about how they cannot understand girls. this is the drama for you. it'll explain you everything.

My Rating: i'll give this 8/10 :)

Japanese Drama

Episodes:
10

Genre: Mystery, Comedy

Cast:
  • Sakurai Sho as kageyama
  • Kitagawa Keiko as Hosho Reiko
  • Shiina Kippei as Kazamatsuri Kyoichiro
Synopsis:
Based on a highly successful novel by Higashigawa Tokuya, selling over 1.4 million copies after its publication in September of 2009, the intriguing yet familiar mystery takes place inside a seemingly unsuitable place for mysteries: Socialite Reiko's stately mansion. Reiko is the only daughter to the CEO of a major enterprise, "Hosho Group," known worldwide. Hiding her true identity behind her day time job as a rookie police officer, Reiko comes home to her butler and driver, Kageyama whenever she is faced with a complex case, being a perfectionist, Kageyama is flawless when it comes to serving meals full course from hors d'oeuvre to dessert. He sharply points out the lack of reasoning on Reiko's side, keeping the comment one fine line away from being offensive.

The cutting remarks by Kageyama and appearances by unique characters, as well as the play on words and light tempo of witty conversations...and most of all, being referred to as the "Armchair detective" who solves mysteries without encountering the suspects together create a daring mystery solving roller-coaster ride.

i never thought i'll like this. my friend who is a Sho fan didn't enjoy this much. i was irritated with the repetition of events in, what, the first 6 episodes? glad they somehow changed bits in other episodes. but despite that, it's funny. Shiina Kippei is the star of this drama. whenever he appears, i always crack up. his antics never get old. i'm not considering reading the novels but the ending made me curious about what happened with the characters' relationships.

My Ratings: i'll give this 7/10 :)
