sad about this movie. it's like the plot's all over the place. or is it just me? i was yawning halfway through the movie. i was tempted not to finish it. though there are some funny scenes. and Fujiki Naohito in drag is not a thing to miss! i just thought that the story's too much like Nodame's. but Seiichi tolerates Hotaru's whims a lot.

My Ratings: i'll give this 2.5/5 :)

i have mixed feelings with this movie. i didn't read the synopsis before watching so when Satoshi started singing (my speakers were in full blast), i was scrambling hard to lower the volume. this is supposed to be a comedy, right? because i was really laughing hard with a lot of scenes. especially the singing parts. hands up (and feet) to the cast. i've yet to see the director's other works (Audition and Ichi the Killer) but they say they're better than this one.
i just thought that Satoshi's too old for the part. i know he doesn't look 30 but he doesn't look like 16-18 too. Saito Takumi barely passed the high school character. but both's so good so let's just ignore their age. i'm just wondering, i know Makoto died in the end, but did he fell in love with Ai, because he died walking all the way to the hospital (fucking hospital, he should have at least got himself treated first!) and hugging her, or was he just grateful to her because she'll go to that extent to save him.

My Ratings: i'll give this 3/5 :)

On her birthday, she learns that her father who she thought had died 15 years ago is alive somewhere in Tokyo. Urara cannot withhold her yearning to go look for him and withdraws her entire life savings to hop on a bus to head to the big city. But on her first day in Tokyo, Urara realizes that her entire fortune is robbed by a pick-pocket! Broke, homeless, and without a vision, Urara wanders about and meets a woman who introduces her to Takuya, a middle-aged lawyer and bachelor. Something about the man is remarkably familiar to Urara and she gasps in shock, “DAD!?” After their coincidental reunion, Urara’s benevolent curiosity does not stop her from wanting to find out more about her estranged father who urges her to go back to her small home town. Soon, Urara sees that Takuya is being preyed upon by several young and attractive bachelorettes. Innately meddlesome in nature, Urara makes it her duty to see that her father is not played a fool. In her simplistic thinking, Urara decides to move in with Takuya...though totally uninvited! Tokyo Zenryoku Shojo is a drama of a young woman searching for her space in this world while depicting a split family that tries to regain its lost time together in modern day Tokyo.

i like this drama. it's light, nothing too serious. but Urara's REALLY annoying, if only she wasn't that cute! and Daisuke's too precious, if only he wasn't that womanizer, jumping to every pretty girl he meets. i was figuring out why Henry's lines weren't subbed and then i realized he's speaking english. i had a hard time deciphering his gibberish lines. and i don't know where you'll find a wedding ceremony when all the groom's exes, and all 3 he dated at the same time, were invited and get along well. the ending reminds me of Legal High.

My Ratings: i'll give this 3/5 :)
